St Barnabas Primary School is calling on its alumni to assist it to build a school hall.

The school opened in 1923, but was then closed down in 1968.

It opened a year later and was called Herero High Primary School in Katutura, with GG Mbuenda as the headmaster.

A decade down the line, the school was renamed once again to St Barnabas Primary School, the name it still has today.

EK Muuoja is the current headmaster.

Alumni

Among its former learners is the late Chief Clemence Kapuuo, Professor Mburumba Kerina and Dr Tjama Tjivikua.

The school is deeply rooted in the hearts of the learners and parents.

Gala dinner

St Barnabas is reaching out to its alumni to stand with it, in an effort to build a school hall.

The project is currently in phase 2.1 and has two more phases to go. More money is thus needed.

The school needs about N$2 million to be able to complete the project.

St Barnabas will be hosting a gala dinner and a reunion on the 5 November and every donation will help make the project a reality.

Tickets are selling for N$350 per person. People can contact the school for more information about the gala dinner at 061-261 684 or email them at [email protected].
