Foreign challenge to Namibian Women's Open

Last weekend Omeya Golf Club was the proud host of the annual FNB Africa Cup.
It was the first time the event was played at Omeya as this event rotates all over Africa. Forty of FNB's senior management members from Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Zambia, Ghana, Lesotho and Tanzania took part in the two-day event organised by Omeya member, Heini Prinsloo.
The overall feedback was very positive and Omeya Golf Club management would like to thank FNB Namibia for the opportunity to showcase their championship facility.
• This weekend the club welcomes yet some more visitors from Africa, this time from South Africa and Botswana for the NALGU Namibian Open.
Forty-nine players will be teeing it up tomorrow and Sunday with all eyes firmly set on the trophy. Omeya Golf Club would like to wish all the ladies the best of luck.

COUNTRY CLUB
The fourth round of the Windhoek Lager Monthly Medley was played at the Windhoek Golf and Country Club last Saturday.
The race to qualify for the tournament of champions is heating up and players are starting to make their moves in order to ensure qualification. The course being in excellent condition and good weather conditions ensured some good golf and some exciting changes to the facility ensured a vibrant atmosphere during the day and at prize-giving.
At the end of the day it was XL Zhang that made the best of the conditions to finish with an excellent net score of 67.
The winners on the day were:
Medal: Overall: XL Zhang 67; A Division: Robert von Prittwitz 69; B Division: Mark Raidza 71; C Division: Gustav Jung 79; Ladies: Hansina Hinda 69.
Stableford: 1 Evylyn Paulino 43; 2 Boni Paulino 40; 3 Theo Saunderson 37.
