iFun entertainment for the whole family
iFun, which is part of Windhoek GO Karting and Laser tag, offers entertainment for all ages at reasonable prices while upholding a high standard of quality.
“Except for entertaining the family, we also host company events, team building exercises and parties for young and old, including bachelorette parties,” says Mariette Kraak.
Mini golf, a water playground with slides, an indoor and outdoor playground, activity centre and snack bar are on offer, and they also do activities according to age.
Mariette says that iFun has implemented the latest technology in water management systems to limit the use of water in line with the City of Windhoek regulations.
“During the week we can arrange a set up on the splash slab, so that you can sit close to your kids and enjoy all the action. We love having buzzing, excited kiddies and its lovely getting them into a creative mindset when the rest of the family relaxes. Some people even fall asleep next to the splash slab while listening to the sound of water. Luckily we have eight ground staff keeping an eye on everyone’s safety,” she says.
“Come and enjoy some mini golf and let your kids play on our playground while you enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine and some food. Or book your arts and crafts, cupcake decorating, pizza making, private braai area or any themed setup party at one of our exclusive party areas. We always do something with recycled items that your child can enjoy and use long after the party has ended.
“We can make any dream party come true, no matter what our clients require. Because we want to create memories with special people, we go the extra mile every time!”

How does iFun make responsible use of water?
“When we began developing our ideas two years ago, we came to the conclusion that we can never run a "water playground" with clean tap water, since it is a scarcity in Namibia. Therefore, after consulting with experts at the City of Windhoek, we developed a unique solution called SWMS – a sustainable water management system.”
How it works
“We do not use clean tap water to operate our splash playground. We use semi-purified water, cleaned by a so-called ‘polishing and purification plant’. Our water usage is the equivalent of two households per month, while entertaining up to 2 000 kids per month,” she says.
The plant cleans semi-purified water to a fresh water standard. “This does not mean it is drinking water, as we treat our water for hygiene purposes.”
The splash playground is a 100% recycling system. The water is stored in underground tanks to avoid evaporation. Additionally, they clean used water with UV-lights and cartridge filters.
“We check the quality of our water frequently to ensure our clients’ safety and we are busy developing an ecological system to clean the semi-purified water, called a wetland. This will make the polishing plant redundant in time. Again, this is a first in Namibia.”
Mariette says to make it possible for the people of Namibia to enjoy responsible water entertainment, they spent around N$ 800,000 on implementing this system.
“Together with our partners, we will promote responsible water consumption to all our clients in the years to come!”
