Henties Bay boasts an adequately equipped and uniquely shaped tourism centre constructed at a cost of approximately N$8.1 million. The small town, located about 70 km north of Swakopmund, thrives on the wide range of tourism activities and accommodation facilities, with the tourist information office being an excellent resource. Rock and surf angling is a very popular sport, with hundreds of anglers visiting the town to enjoy this activity. There are numerous well known angling spots with names such as Bennie se ­Rooi ­Lorrie, Popeye, Predikantsgat, Sarah se Gat, Canopy, Blare and many more, with edible species such as kob, steenbras, galjoen and blacktail in abundance.
