Invasion at Farm Heichas, Vaalgras

I am really grateful that the usage of Farm Heichas has eventually return to its intended purpose. The deposed leadership has delayed the allocation of allotments down there, until the farmers got inpatient and invaded the Farm.

It was crystal clear in their application that the Farm was requested to extend the communal farming area of Vaalgras. However, the deposed leadership has decided to use it for community projects, which was dishonest and criminal of nature.

It appears that they are taking the current situation for granted without considering the prevailing imminent drought. This has forced the Apollus farmers to invade the farm. Why should one sit idle and witness how your livestock are dying? It is hard for a subsistence farmer to sit idle, whilst your money is going down the drain.

You must show that you are in charge by taking drastic steps such as invasion in such circumstances. The other rudimentary mistake that they made was that they have put in people very close to the deposed chief. That was oil on the fire and has led to the invasion action. It is ludicrous and it was uncalled for how they have handled the entire situation.

They apparently rushed to the Minister, who in no uncertain terms told them that the Farm was handed over to them already and that it was their baby. As far as I am concerned things are moving in the right

direction, and that step was long-overdue.

They should have used their powers and mandate to settle farmers from both sides there - their staunch supporters and those from Vaalgras Interim Committee etc. Now, they are sitting with their fingers in their hair.
