ANDREAS HLT HAINGHUMBI WRITES:

First and foremost let me make it categorically clear that this article is not purposefully intended to tarnish anyone's reputation and if anybody feel directly or indirectly victimized then that’s because his or her conscience is denying the facts.

This article has no hidden agenda nor is it a form of hate speech. The truth and lies can’t be hidden, either one will come to light regardless of your canny intellect.

As wonderful by as this country is by its nature, I’m personally ashamed as a citizen.

Under the previous and current leadership or governance, corruption is escalating at an unprecedented rate. Corruption of all forms has become a daily trade and to make matter worse, the majority of corrupt acts are carried out in public offices by so called public servants or servants of the nation.

Brown envelopes are outdated practices of the past. Corruption has entered a new stage and this new age corruption is of many forms and shapes. These people have no shame, humanity or godly nature - that is secondary, while selfishness or greediness has become their prime nature and god.

They are shameless to the extent of bragging about and declaring their so called wealth which is ill-gotten in corrupt deals.

We have loads of corrupt multi-millionaires in this country because of moral decay. The statistical evidence is undeniable, the list is endless and regardless of such evidence due to the nature of the corrupt networks of comradeship justice is never served.

There’s a belief that a person is not guilty until the court declares otherwise. What if the court decides not guitly regardless of the evidence? It’s insane! What happen to Common Sense Law?

Innocents face prosecution while the scientists or engineers of corruption walk freely, shamelessly and fearlessly because all systems are captured. These criminals have reduced this country to nothing but a Haven of Corruption.

This is discouraging to the majority of our students and many are walking away from their studies and engaging in the corrupt networks of comradeship as a short cut to success. Many have graduated and they are jobless and so the qualifications are worthless because the jobs are reserved for Comrades or members of this secret society network.

Having a qualification doesn’t guarantee you a job if you are not linked to a network of some sort. How sad?

I feel pity for my fellow youth. After many years of study and restless nights and days one ends up empty handed.

The leadership has betrayed young people by making them believe that education is key to success but in fact that’s not the case. The comradeship slogan is “corruption is the key to success not education”. Leaders are promising young people that they are the leaders of tomorrow, yet they are clinging on to power even though they are all deadwood.

In this age of corruption, success is no longer a product of hard work but rather of who you know and if you can play your cards right by expanding your connections to as many Comrades as possible in order to add more zeros on your bank account.

Young people and patriotic citizens of this beautiful land, if you don’t stand up against this corruption pandemic then we will all be consumed by it and we will have nobody to blame but yourselves. Let us fix our country, break the chain of corruption and be a nation of upright people.

There’s no sincerity in the promises and acts of the current leadership.

Conflicts of interest cause division and infighting. No wonder the cracks of division never cease to end.

How in the world do you sleep at night knowing that someone out there is homeless, hungry, sick, dying because of your corrupt ways? How can you be proud of ill-gotten wealth? How are you qualified to be called a public servant if you are self-centered?

The bread and butter is for a few and the majority have to scramble for left overs and inherit the endless debt. What a shame!

I yearn for that day when the upright citizens of this country will take a stand against the corrupt spirit that possess these individuals. Their days are numbered. The hour is unknown but when the citizens rise up no force can prevail.

The corrupt shall beg for God's mercy. The ill-gotten riches you are so fond of accumulating and your comrades will not save or bail you out, because the highest court shall deliver the final and just judgment.

The Constitution and laws of this country are seemingly designed for the have-nots, but leadership without God's guidance results in nothing but selfishness or corruption.

If you are not politically and economically connected to the comradeship syndicate you are left to starvation.

Politics in this country is limited to the belly only, there’s no genuine leadership. All the fights are about the belly. There’s nothing honorable about many of our leaders.

Never before was corruption so rife as it has become under the Swapo government.

We will be accountable for our action or inaction, so fear not and take the necessary action as agents of change starting where you are. It’s for you to create a conducive and enabling corrupt free environment regardless of bribery and temptation. It takes self-respect or dignity which is embedded in self-discipline.

Young people, stop being followers or idolisers. Instead step up and take the lead.
