Maltas inspires young talent in Tsumkwe
The prestigious Maltas Club Namibia joined forces with Lark Journeys Namibia last week and held a three-day extensive workshop on leadership and personal development. The purpose of this workshop was to educate pupils on basic life skills, which are vital for them to succeed at school. Approximately 50 pupils from Grades 8 to 12 took part in this workshop. Mr. Piet Carstens, a 2014 Mandela Washington fellow, encouraged the kids to think for themselves and to stop copying the bad habits of their peers. In addition, Mr. Petrus van der Westhuizen, managing director of Remnant Couture in Maltahohe, gave an account of the essence of good moral behaviour and how it can impact one's success. He also narrated a personal story of how negative behaviour affected the life of his own sister and encouraged learners to be very mindful of how they conduct themselves as it can negatively or positively contribute to their life goals.
