Nam gymnasts to Harare for Zone 6

ELEVEN gymnasts of SKW Gymnastics Academy travelled to Zimbabwe to partake in the Zone 6 Competition in Harare which took place over the weekend. The 10 rhythmic gymnasts and one tumbling gymnast form part of a big team of the Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF). They were accompanied by the main rhythmic gymnastics coach of SKW Gymnastics Academy, Angela Lepekha who is also the national coach, as well as national judge Meagan Bierbach.

The more than 40 gymnasts of the NGF team represented the sections women’s and men’s artistic gymnastic, trampoline and tumbling, rhythmic gymnastic as well as general gymnastic. Furthermore, the SKW Gymnastics Academy concluded a very successful year with a year-end function at SKW Hall at the end of November. Numerous trophies were handed out to the best and most dedicated gymnasts of the year of all the different levels.

The prophy for the best performance of 2007 is shared by Namibian top junior Nicole Bierbach and the very talented 11 year old Nadia Reichstein (Level 8). The highlight of the evening was a spectacular gymnastics display of about half an hour performed by all gymnasts of the SKW Gymnastics Academy. The choreography of the main rhythmic and artistic gymnastics coaches, Angela and Dimitriy Lepekha, stunned the audience and was yet another proof of their excellent work.
