Noshisha donates N$20 000 to albinism
On Saturday 20 May the Noshisha Fishing Company donated N$20 000 to Albinism Sufferers Requiring Assistance (SINASRA)
During the handover ceremony, managing director of Noshisha Fishing Company, Linus Nahole, said the company's management decided to share with the less privileged people of Namibia as part of their corporate social responsibility.
“Although the economy is down, we want to support communities and help people suffering from albinism in Namibia through this organisation,” Nahole said.
The management of SINASRA's primary concern is the survival of people with albinism - ensuring their livelihood and offering them a fair standard of living.
Funds are used to supply protective clothing, sunscreen and to distribute information.
“The organisation is also in the process of publishing a special children's book. Our wish is to make the book available to teachers, learners and parents at schools in Namibia, as well as at maternity wards, hospitals and libraries,” said SINASRA's secretary, Paulus Johannes.
“This donation comes at the right time and we value your contribution towards the support of albinism,” Johannes said.
