My Zone looks to launch their podcast in 2022

As the youth brand of Namibia Media Holdings (NMH), My Zone has been critical in venturing into youth spaces and providing young people with news, entertainment and stories. The team plans to start their own podcast show next year in order to cater for young people in all spaces.
Nothing but the T
The podcast will be known as ‘Nothing but the T’ and will look to give young people a platform to discuss general issues they face. Conversations will range from topics such as renting, living with your parents or buying an apartment/house, having sex before or after marriage, being ghosted, alcoholism and a number of diverse topics that young people deal with daily. Concept creator and My Zone journalist Monique Adams adds that the platform that will be provided by the podcast is not only meant for young people to discuss issues they face but to give them a voice and empower them.
“My expectation is to create a platform that is a safe space for young people to come together and speak on subjects that are considered a taboo and for young people to empower themselves,” she says.
Doing it all and more
‘Nothing but the T’ will become My Zone’s eighth online engagement. My Zone has managed to target almost every age group through its various online engagements. The brand will welcome its podcast, ‘Nothing but the T’, to its seven other online shows namely, ‘Generation C’, ‘Active Kids’, ‘Careers Bistro’, ‘The Social Leak’, ‘Straight Talk’, ‘Ohole So Nice’ and ‘Table Thrive’. The brand currently also publishes two weekly papers, namely The Zone and Careers Hub. The Zone is a youthful publication that looks to bring the latest youth news to all its readers and Careers Hub gives an extensive and in-depth view of what different careers entail and what their day-to-day work looks like. The podcast will be an added aspect to the various engagements My Zone already has. The podcast will air on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
