Novax – Macho Domkrag

DR A.C. OBHOLZER WRITES: During 2021, I attempted to scientifically clarify issues related to Covid-19 pandemic and the hesitation to get vaccinated voluntarily.

By 2022, vaccination, the number one tool/weapon to break the pandemic, has failed. The target for herd immunity (70%) was missed by a huge margin – only 25% chose the voluntary free vaccination path, despite the commendable efforts by the Ministry of Health and Social Services. Why?

We also suffer from a pandemic of ignorance (disinformation), poverty and disease – Herd Stupidity!

The founding father of Namibia, identified these three challenges in 1990. The emphases was on education and promotive, preventive, restorative health care, job creation and the quest for vision 2030 by the National Planning Commission.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people discovered their “right,” without evidence to refuse vaccination. The pandemic is not an “I, me and myself on an island” happening. It is a “we challenge” requiring a global Ubuntu / Harambee response. Don’t exercise your right without responsibility and social duty to fellow Namibians. Exercise your brain, to critically arrive at a credible answer.

Facts – 90% of Covid-19 deaths were unvaccinated. Two thirds were over 60 years with obesity, diabetes and hypertension. God has given you common sense (rarely used), faith, hope and love.

Nobody is above the public health law. See the Novax Domkrag tennis fiasco of a prima donna/Maverick Goat (greatest of all times) in Australia.

People are entitled to their own opinions, but not their own set of facts.

So do not believe what you want to believe. Believe what the facts tell you is the truth. What you believe about health and disease, will determine not just how you live, but also how you die. The choice is yours. Ask questions for real answers, not confirmation bias.

Our economy won’t recover unless we make a team (together everybody achieves more) effort.

Tourism will be the first to benefit quickly.

Our president, Dr Hage Gottfried Geingob chose the vaccination path. I am sure the party is also looking after its biggest asset, the founding father. A luta continua!

Vaccination is your safety belt on your journey of life.

South African Universities have made vaccination mandatory for students and lecturers to protect intellectual assets.

I think therefore I am.

One Namibia, One Nation, One Family!
