More than 6 000 employees of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group recently received their latest casual corporate golf shirts, manufactured by Dinapama Manufacturers and Supplies.

This was just in time for the O&L Group’s 100-year legacy celebrations on 21 October.

O&L executive chairman Sven Thieme expressed excitement about the newly designed and fresh-look of the O&L Mwenyopaleka golf shirts.

“I am inspired by O&L’s commitment to support growth at home and contribute to local value addition, as this is a manifestation of our passion and commitment to our purpose of ‘Creating a future, enhancing life’,” Thieme said.

He said O&L and Dinapama share a collective dream in which every Namibian is gainfully employed, enjoys a decent livelihood and where Namibians are creating opportunities for themselves.

“I would like to thank our employees for sharing in this dream, by choosing to support locals, to allow Namibian businesses to grow and develop local talent and skills, and in so doing, investing in local infrastructure that will ultimately grow our economy,” Thieme said.

The relationship between the O&L Group and Dinapama stretches back to 2017 when, in support of growth at home and the commitment to contribute to local value addition, O&L signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dinapama.

Dinapama managing director David Namalenga said they are humbled by the partnership. “We at Dinapama are very humbled and proud that we could be part of such a meaningful contribution to the O&L Group, especially during this very special year celebrating its 100th year of existence as a proudly Namibian establishment.”

Namalenga added they are motivated by the successful production of more than 6 000 shirts for O&L.

“The fruitful relationship between Dinapama and the O&L Group is very inspiring and we certainly look forward to continue contributing to the O&L journey and forging new relationships with the rest of corporate Namibia.

“Thank you O&L for the opportunity, and contributing so significantly to the growth of Dinapama Manufacturers and Supplies,” Namalenga added.

“Every single dollar we spend on imports is a dollar of local value addition we export. We should thrive to create opportunities locally for our own people, because if we do not take the people off the streets, they will take us into the street,” Thieme added.
