Thogen Batteries takes charge of campaign

A group of businesspeople with a passion for animals recently established a campaign to assist animal welfare organisations across Namibia, and called on other businesses and individuals to support the SPCA and other animal protection organizations.

"We at Thogen Batteries, feel that we and our fellow entrepeneurs in Windhoek and across the country, can do more to support organizations that support, protect and care for animals."

"These organisations do so much, but need support. So we encourage other businesses, and the general public to join us, and participate in supporting animal protection organizations, especially with food, which is a big issue for them," said James Loots, a co-founder founder of the PAWS (Pets and Wildlife) initiative.

Last week, thanks to the support of their sponsors Thogen Batteries, 21st Century Signs & Auto Elektrik Werkstadt and TypoPrint, the PAWS initiative delivered cat and dog food to the value of N$ 5 000 to Monique Redecker, CEO of the SPCA and her colleagues in Windhoek and pledged to continue canvasing for support so that the initiative may continue and grow .

“In the current economic climate, we are receiving less and less support. This makes initiatives like the PAWS project, so vital to our operations and we would like to thank them very much for their support and appluad them and their sponsors for their commitment to the well-being animals,” she said.

If you would like to become part of the PAWS campaign, feel free to contact James Loots from Thogen Batteries at 081 635 7161.
