Vanweë ‘n fout in die geoutomatiseerde formule wat deur Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) gebruik is om die totale aantal punte van ‘n kandidaat in die graad 10 Junior Sekondêre Sertifikaat-eksamen (JSC) te bereken, is sekere kandidate se punte verkeerd gereflekteer in die uitslae wat gister gepubliseer is.

Pleks van eerste die simboolwaarde vir Engels te gebruik en dan ‘n kandidaat se topvyf oorblywende vakke by te tel, het die formule wat deur NMH gebruik is die kandidaat se topses vakke gebruik sonder om die punt vir die amptelike taal in berekening te bring. Minder as 25% van kandidate is in terme van hul bevordering na graad 11 hierdeur geraak.

NMH vra die ministerie van onderwys, kuns en kultuur en almal wat deur die fout verontrief is, om verskoning.

Leerlinge word versoek om die totaal van hul punte te vergelyk met die SMS-uitslae en die amptelike uitslae wat aan hoërskole beskikbaar gestel is.

Uitslae vir die Nambië Senior Sekondêre Sertifikaat op Hoërvlak (NSSCH), sowel as al die infografiese data wat gepubliseer is, word nie deur die formulefout geraak nie.
