Searching for family members in Namibia

My name is Dorothea van Wyk (born Rukero), currently residing in Johannesburg.

My best friend Nico Josea who lives in Windhoek sent me a newspaper article about Mrs Elizabeth Rukero at the time of her 100th year celebration (“Ouma vier 'n eeu”, Republikein, 1 December 2016). I was elated as I thought I finally have somewhere to start to hopefully find my family.

I was born to Ragel Rukero on the 15th of April 1960 in Keetmanshoop and was informed when older, that my mother passed with my birth. I was raised by her mother's sister, also Ragel.

My father was Eddie Lehman who also passed on. I met him for the first time at age 21 with a lot of questions. He then told me that I was the only child he had with my mother.

Apparently their are not many people bearing the surname with this spelling which made me even more positive that it might be my family living in Gibeon.
