Connie Neidel started working at MultiChoice Namibia back in 2014. Before working life, she was a marketing student at the Namibia University of Science and Technology.

“My real growth started at MultiChoice learning about customer service and applying the knowledge and experience into the customer experience and care department,” she said proudly.

Neidel is an outgoing and social person and loves reading, music and travelling.

Her job is all about using outside-in metrics to gather data and information to conduct analysis and gather insights so that the company can collaborate and agree on action plans to drive a continuous improvement process.

Her biggest challenge has been understanding what customer experience is about.

“It’s more than simply giving the customer what they paid for,” she said, adding that her biggest accomplishment includes the ability to adapt to different work environments in a short period.

In the past few years, she worked at the call centre assisting customers with their billing and technical queries; at agent support, which is assisting agents with their queries; metro sales and activation; and assisting with sales, payments, technical and account queries at the counter.

Her typical day at the office is full of engaging with colleagues, being proactive and having loads of fun. She is inspired by the people in her circle which are her friends and family, who strive to become better versions of themselves and work hard to achieve their dreams.

The advice she would give young people out there is to always be true to yourself and not to do anything you have second thoughts about.

In future, Neidel plans to obtain a degree in graphic design degree, and one thing she wishes she knew how to do is to design and make her own clothes.

When asked what the favourite phase of her life has been, she said she doesn’t have one yet.

“Each phase I’ve had thus far has been an adventure of its own. I’m looking forward to the next.”

If she had an opportunity to change something about the world, Neidel would give all orphans a roof over their heads.
