Tate Sakkie is known for his diligence
In the past seven years at Namibia Media Holdings, Sakeus Nangula has formed bonds with his colleagues.

NMH driver Sakeus Nangula, known affectionately to his colleagues as ‘Tate Sakkie’, joined the company in January 2014 after having worked at a furniture chain and has established his place within the company with his friendly smile and diligent work.
He recalls being one of four drivers and after seven years, Nangula is the only driver still standing. “I remember that we worked well at NMH and I can say that the people are very friendly,” he says.
Currently he ensures the execution of all of NMH’s deliveries. “I believe that you should always deliver a good service and I think we had good examples of that at NMH,” he says.
He believes that a persevering attitude toward one’s work is vital to NMH. “If you cannot motivate yourself to do your work, it will become very hard. There is a lot of pressure so you need to keep your work up to date,” he says.
Nangula says his relationship with his colleagues is important in his work. “My relationship with my colleagues is very good. We have formed friendships,” he says.
Especially one colleague, Vicky Van Dyk, is close to Nangula’s heart. “Vicky works with people. She is always friendly and treats people with respect. She is always talking to her colleagues and has a good relationship with everyone,” he says.
Nangula encourages his colleagues to keep working as a team and not to break away into smaller groups. “I would like to encourage my colleagues to say, let’s work together and stand together as a team. Let us not break up and work against each other,” he says.
He believes that there has been a big shift in NMH since he started working at the company. “The company is very different now, but at the end of the day, we had a life at NMH,” he says.
