PASCH was introduced in 2008 for cultural and educational programmes by the Goethe Institute to encourage intercultural exchange.

The objective of PASCH is to stimulate young generations to be fully educated in the slightly intricate puzzle that is the German language.

The role of the Goethe Institute is to equip German language teachers and learners with the latest learning technology, advanced study and broad knowledge of the German language.

The fortunate few learners from Etosha who have benefited from this programme have described it as "an ethereal experience". This drives many of their schoolmates to push themselves harder in order to potentially get the chance to visit Germany.

PASCH supports this network and the Goethe Institute offers scholarships to both pupils and teachers. It is a great initiative which supports cooperation and partnerships between foreign and German educational institutions.

Through school partnerships, learners have been given the opportunity to practise instead of simply learning theory. German students also travel the world as part of student exchange programmes.

All three languages play a strong role in the lives of Etosha learners. However, German as a foreign language can be further referred to as 'Pasch.'

For Etosha Secondary School, the message has been made crystal clear and the definite change in students despite the circumstances are impressive as they have accepted that indeed they are "Schulen Partners dir Zunkunft," which translates as “school partners for the future”.
