Synergi on Tuesday hosted the ministry of sport, youth and national service, the Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) Events team and representatives of various sports unions in Namibia to a breakfast in Windhoek where they introduced and demonstrated their sport broadcast functionalities for the 2022 calendar year.
The Synergi team presented their achievements and milestones in broadcasting sporting events through the past two years and proudly honoured the NMH Events team for helping to pull off the broadcasts and taking them to the next level.
“We cannot take credit for all these innovations, but we can say that our Events team has embraced sport broadcast presentation like no other event company in the country,” said Chanel Bennett, the marketing management coordinator of NMH.
Synergi presented their broadcasting activities to the ministry of sport, youth and national service, the presidents and representatives of various sports unions in Namibia and asked that the three parties work together to ensure that the broadcasting of sporting events takes place on a larger and bigger scale during 2022.
Hennie Geldenhuys, the chief marketer of NMH, highlighted that the benefits of sport broadcasting include tremendously increased visibility of sport, provides the opportunity to take sport to communities who may not currently participate in it and also engage people who do not play sport by providing an understanding of the competitions beyond the game. Geldenhuys added that broadcasting sport helps improve its reach to the different communities of fans and aids in commercialising the sports.
“We have invested a lot in technology,” Geldenhuys stated while showing highlights of the sports events the NMH Events team covered during the past two years. He further added that Synergi and the NMH Events team plans on broadcasting a 120 sport events for the 2022 calendar year.
