We cannot be swayed

Dani Booysen
EUNICE ANN VAN ZYL WRITES:

I do not watch television during the day too much.

On Monday 19 April, I switched on to the Namibian channel 282 and came across a programme on the Covid-19 pandemic. The host had three religious leaders as his guests.

He asked a question about the connection between the pandemic and the end-time. I did not find the answers given very relevant.

The Islamic leader however, chose to point out that Islam does not believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

I know very little about other religions of the world.

I do know that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for us all:

John 3:16 – 17 (New King James Bible)

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Whether other religions believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God or not, is their choice. We who believe the Holy Bible is God’s Word cannot be swayed. The Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance:

Matthew 16:15 – 17

"He (Jesus) said to them 'But who do you say that I am?'

Simon Peter answered and said 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.'

Jesus answered and said to him 'Blessed are you Simon Bar Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.'"
