Welcome the new season at Nedbank Spring Festival
Mountain biking, duathlon
A lucky draw valued at a staggering N$70 000 and a venue that offers a pristine environment for a good day out with the family – this and so much more is what awaits those who will be attending this year’s Nedbank Spring Festival.
This will be the fourth year that Nedbank teams up with Cycletec to bring the Windhoek community the 18th Spring Festival.
This fun-filled event brings family, friends and pets together to welcome Spring with fun outdoor activities.
The Nedbank Spring Festival last year saw over 560 registered participants enjoying various activities ranging from off-road duathlon, trail run, mountain bike rides and family dog walk at Eagles (Avis Dam).
This year’s event is taking place on Saturday and will again be hosted at the Avis Dam Eagles. The event starts at 08:00 and visitors can expect to be entertained throughout the day with fitness competitions, rodeo bull and various activities for the children.
Keeping in line with this year’s theme to promote a healthy lifestyle, the Food Lovers Market Fruit and Veg will grace the Spring Festival again to provide participants with free fresh fruit.
In addition, as has been the practice for the past three years, Cycletec together with its suppliers once again placed the entire prize purse towards the lucky draw, which every registered participant qualifies for. The value of the lucky draw is a staggering N$70 000!
Gernot de Klerk, Head of Nedbank Marketing and Communication shares that the Nedbank Spring Festival remains a special highlight on our Windhoek annual calendar. “As we continue to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, this year in particular we would like to especially bring attention to our Nedbank Spring Health Basket Corporate Challenge, in support of our elderly.
“We are challenging our corporates to buy a spring health basket that will be donated to identified old age homes across the country; this drive will run up until the end of September. Spring brings with it a special cheer and we invite you to pay it forward with us.”
The Mammadù Children’s Shelter will also be at the event selling crafts made by the mothers of some of the children who receive support from the Mammadù Children Shelter situated in Otjomuise. Everyone is encouraged to come out and support them at the Nedbank Spring Festival.
Interested participants can visit the Cycletec website (www.cycletec.com.na) to enter for the Spring Festival. The closing date for entries is today. Number collection is from Thursday and Friday from 12:00 to 17:30 at Cycletec.
