Te oordeel aan die duisende SMS’e wat die koerant ontvang het om die top 10 in Republikein se Bruidspaar van die Jaar-kompetisie te bepaal, gaan die finaal wat Saterdag by die Namibië Tourisme Ekspo plaasvind, vir groot opwinding sorg.

Dit het egter maande se voorbereidings gekos om by die finale geleentheid uit te kom. Die paartjies moes eerstens hul troufoto’s en unieke stories oor hul groot dag instuur. Daarna het ’n beoordelingspaneel 30 semi-finaliste uit die 220 inskrywings uitgesoek, wat voorwaar nie ’n maklike taak was nie.

Uiteindelik is die top 10 finaliste aangekondig ná ’n SMS-veldtog wat meer as 34 000 stemme van lesers, bruidspare en hul families en vriende opgelewer het.

Saterdag kry die paartjies die kans om hulle aan die publiek voor te stel en om teen mekaar mee te ding vir meer as N$200 000 se pryse. Om hulle in aksie te sien, moet besoekers aan die ekspo op die uitkyk wees vir die bruidspare en om 11:00 in die Gourmet-saal vir die finaal aansluit. Die wenners sal om en by 12:00 aangekondig word.
