Your health comes first

Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund celebrated the launch of their new website and mobile technology, as well as unveiling their new logo on 6 August.

Principal Officer Esther McLeod addressed the audience at the event, saying, “I am thrilled about our revamped logo. It is not new, it is just better. For over 25 years, Renaissance has served as an inspiration and instilled confidence in healthcare for its members.” She added that the revamped Renaissance Medical Aid Fund (RMA) offers affordable products such as the benefit builder, which allows members to tailor their medical aid to suit their individual needs. They also have a benefit wallet that gives members access to unused benefits which can be used to pay for additional health or medical costs.

McLeod said that RMA underwent the rebranding exercise in a bid to better relate to members in particular, and to resonate with Namibians of all demographics in general.
“The new look and feel is simple, yet bold and playful. It aims to represent a fund that is available and representative of all Namibians.”

The new RMA website has been adapted so that members no longer have to visit their offices, managing their benefits on a self-service basis.
CEO of the Prosperity Group, Bertus Struwig, explained that RMA has moved all their applications onto web-based media, adopting a full automatic protocol. He expressed his excitement about other technological advancements, such as the launch of the new RMA mobile application. This app allows members to gain access to their own profiles and they are able to check their benefits and the status of claims.
Along with the app, RMA will also be launching electronic membership cards.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the Dial-A-Doctor product, which will be launched along with the app, giving members the option to call a doctor on duty or send an alert for a doctor to call them back. To offer this service, RMA entered into an agreement with the Khomas Group Medical practice that has made over forty doctors available for this function.
