ACDT: 180 000 boekies reeds versprei

The African Child Development Trust (ACDT) sê die aanvang van die tweede semester se aflewering van opvoedkundige boekies vir die 2024- finansiële jaar het afgeskop.

Dié inisiatief is gerig op preprimêre en graad 1-, 2- en 3-leerlinge en ondersteun sodoende die opvoedkundige reis van jong leerlinge oraloor Namibië.

Vanjaar is altesaam 180 000 boekies reeds versprei, met nog 180 000 boekies wat wag om ’n eienaar te kry.

Ouers, onderwysers en kinders kan hul maandelikse boekie in Republikein of Namibian Sun kry wanneer hulle dit by ’n straatverkoper koop.

Preprimêre leerlinge ontvang hul boeke direk van hul skole en verseker sodoende toeganklikheid en gerief.

Die boekies is in agt verskillende tale – Afrikaans, Engels, Khoekhoegowab, Oshikwanyama, Oshindonga, Otjiherero, Rumanyo en Rukwangali – beskikbaar om aan die uitgebreide taalbehoeftes van leerlinge te voldoen.

Leerlinge het ook toegang tot alle materiaal tesame met aanlyn klasse op die Zoshy Aanlyn Skool se webtuiste zoshy.online. Alle boekies is beskikbaar om gratis in 11 verskillende tale afgelaai te word en aanlyn lesse is in Engels en gebaretaal beskikbaar.

ACDT se verspreiding van die boekies strek oor al 14 streke van die land en is in lyn met die verbintenis om gehalteonderrig na elke uithoek van die land te bring.

Die projek word moontlik gemaak danksy die ruim ondersteuning van die borge en vennote First National Bank Namibia, Capricorn Foundation, Powerline Africa, Allan & Gill Gray Foundation, die ministerie van onderwys, kuns en kultuur, Logistics Hub Namibia, Print Media Hub, Synergi en Network Media Hub.

Sonder die borge en vennote se onwrikbare ondersteuning en toewyding om opvoedkundige geleenthede vir Namibië se kinders te verbeter, sou dit nie moontlik gewees het om ’n tasbare verskil in die lewens van jong leerlinge te maak nie.
