Top Namibian youth showcase talents at Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad 2024
Six young Namibians have been picked to represent Namibia at the Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad 2024 (PAMO 2024) until 20 August at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, under the leadership of Dr David Iiyambo from NUST and Johannes Ndjamba from the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST).
The Namibian learners are showcasing their mathematical talents alongside Africa’s brightest minds.
Palmira Shihako Luciano from Kavango East, Secilia Grace Popila Nakapela from Oshikoto, Roland Kauma Ndjamba from Kavango East, Christiano Chipuka Muenyo from Kavango West, Pumbavanga Tjituaiza from the //Karas Region and Shikukumwa Likuta Mukonda from the Khomas Region are representing Namibia, thanks to the initiative of NCRST in collaboration with the education ministry, Unam and NUST, with sponsorships from Debmarine Namibia and the Global Talent Fund.
