Watch Her Go

After nearly 20 days of rest due to a plantar fasciitis and a tension fracture on the heel, Ray Sasman is back in action and has covered almost 720 kilometers from Noordoewer. She is now well on her way to Okahandja.

This is all in a bid to raise funds for the envisioned Narraville Youth Centre in Walvis Bay, as well as to raise awareness for youth empowerment.

Ray started her walk in May and has battled heatstroke and dehydration about 90 kilometers before Grünau.

“I am slowly easing back into it. It was 20 days with no pressure on my foot, and it felt very good to walk again. I’ve decided to only do 15 kilometers on my first day back and will slowly ease back into it.”

Anyone is more than welcome to join Ray on any stretch of the road.

The planned route starts from the south of Namibia, along the B1, to the north of Namibia. The route involves walking from Noordoewer to Keetmanshoop, then to Windhoek, Otjiwarongo, Rundu, and finally to Kazangula at the tip of the Zambezi Region.
