Strengthening vulnerability analysis

The executive director in the Office of the Prime Minister, I-Ben Nashandi (right) and Dr George Fedha from the World Food Programme (WFP) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening capacity for Namibia livelihood vulnerability assessment and analysis (VAA) and early warning systems, digitalisation of the newly launched electronic voucher system, coordination of food and nutrition security, as well as resilience-building strategy support.

VAA is a crucial system in vulnerability analysis and in devising responses. Nashandi said this process has already started in the Oshana Region at Okatana, and plans are underway to roll it out in Ondangwa and Okatyali. He said in the Hardap Region, engagement has been completed with local leadership and businesses to roll out the electronic voucher system in Rehoboth and Daweb constituencies. Photo: OPM
