During the Financial Year (FY) ended 31 March 2022, NAMFISA’s CSRI sponsorship to institutions and individuals was worth N$364 000.

The Namibian Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) as a responsible corporate citizen needs to play a meaningful role in society and be socially responsible by funding projects and activities that positively contribute to national development in Namibia.
All identified Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment (CSRI) activities should create the highest level of impact for the institution’s brand and the contributions should be sustainable.
Corporate Communication and Consumer Education Manager Victoria Muranda at NAMFISA explained that consumers of financial services extend across Namibia, therefore sponsorships and investments should be representative as such.
The corporate social responsibility operations are enshrined in NAMFISA CSRI Policy focuses on educational initiatives, sports, arts and culture, health, national concerns and informational Communication Technology (ICT).
During the Financial Year (FY) ended 31 March 2022, NAMFISA’s CSRI sponsorship to institutions and individuals was worth N$364 000. The institutions and individuals that benefitted from the CSRI initiatives are as follow:
Public Enterprise Forum, Isize Combined School (Zambezi Region), Iseke Combined School (Zambezi Region), Gibeon Education Centre (Hardap Region), and Empowerment Hub (Erongo Region).
It further included the Camelthorn Youth Development Association (Otjozondjupa), Dubai Expo 2020, FabFlicks Film project (Khomas Region), Face of Namibia (Erongo Region) and finally Martin Ndumba Senior Secondary School (Kavango East Region).
