The Ruach Elohim Foundation has become known for its unwavering dedication to providing a brighter future to abandoned babies and vulnerable children placed in its care.

Gert Grobler from Ashburton Investments recently handed over a donation of N$92 000 to the voluntary association which focuses on raising awareness about baby dumping as well as caring for unwanted, abandoned, abused, and neglected babies in Namibia.

This touching act of kindness signifies a significant step forward in giving abandoned babies a chance at life by offering them a safe and loving home where they can flourish. In doing so, the association has reinforced its commitment to making a difference in the lives of the children left in the care of the Swakopmund-based foundation by their mothers.

Grobler expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the mission of Ruach Elohim. He highlighted the importance of corporate social responsibility and the profound impact businesses can have on local communities. “This safe haven for unwanted babies is a lifesaver and beacon of hope. By offering this generous donation, we are not only investing in the future of these children but also in the future of society as a whole. This contribution reflects the collective compassion of the community and serves as a reminder of the tremendous impact that can be achieved when people come together to support a common cause."

Ronel Peters, who founded the Rauch Elohim Foundation with her husband in 2018, said the donation from Ashburton Investments will go a long way in supporting the foundation's vital work. “These funds will be instrumental in providing essential care, education, and a loving environment to children in need. From basic necessities like food, clothing, and education to emotional support and a loving home - every aspect of a child's well-being is prioritized.”

She explained that Ruach Elohim means “breath of God” in Hebrew. “It is not just a foundation but a sanctuary that transforms the lives of abandoned and vulnerable children. We established this foundation with a vision to provide these children with a safe and loving home. The foundation has been a beacon of hope for countless infants, offering them a chance at a brighter future.”

Peters also called on the community or businesses to support their cause. “Whether through financial contributions, volunteering, or raising awareness, each individual has the power to make a difference in the lives of these innocent children. Please spread the word to save a life.”
