Miss and Mr. WBPS crowned

Joy Lewis was crowned as Miss Walvis Bay Private School (WBPS) and Christo Smit as Mr. WBPS for 2024.

The pageant was a celebration of talent, beauty, and grace and showcased the incredible talents of the participating learners and the dedication of WBPS staff members, parents, and sponsors.

Waneka Venter is the first princess, and the second princess is Magdel Pienaar. Willem Louwrens is the first prince, and Stefan Goosen is the second prince.

Zara Beukes was named Miss Congeniality, and Louwrens also walked away with the Mr. Congeniality title. Shy-Ann Kaoseb collected the most votes in the Miss Photogenic contest, and Jordan Vorster was named Mr. Photogenic.

Lizelle Cordier, Julia Mbai, Jo Nichol, and Lizane Thiersen served on the judge’s panel, and the masters of ceremonies, Jana Duvenhage, Juané Brand, and Lindiwe Qhena-Kambombo, sparkled in their own way. The arts committee worked tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of the pageant was executed flawlessly. Their creativity and attention to detail were evident in every performance and set design.

WBPS extended its heartfelt thanks to every member of its staff and said that the support and encouragement from the parents were instrumental in making the event a success.

“We are supremely grateful for their unwavering support and for entrusting us with the education and well-being of their children. Thank you to all our sponsors for making this evening possible. We are proud to be part of such a supportive community. It also warms our hearts to see our learners using this platform to hone their presenting skills.”
