The provisional port log released by the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) shows that vessel visits to the Port of Walvis Bay for April include 12 container ships, 10 fishing vessels, 10 passenger vessels, eight tugs, nine bulk carriers, six multipurpose carriers, two research vessels, two general cargo vessels, one seismic support vessel, one tanker, and one Roro.

The scheduled visits are, however, subject to change based on weather updates. The passenger vessels MSC Splendida and Seabourne Encore already called on 1 April and 2 April, while the next passenger vessel to call will be the Fred Olsen Borealis on 5 April, followed by Silver Shadow on 7 April, Viking Sky on 11 April, Viking Neptune on 13 April, Queen Victoria on 14 April, Queen Mary 2 on 15 April, Resilient Lady on 19 April, and Zuiderdam on 22 April.

The Fred Olsen Borealis is on a 103-day, one-way cruise from Liverpool to Southampton themed "Easter" and will arrive in the port of Walvis Bay from Cape Town. The itinerary, which will see passengers visiting 40 ports, started on 5 January 2024 and ends on 17 April 2024. Princess Margriet of the Netherlands christened the five-deck vessel with a passenger capacity of 1685 and 615 crew members.

Silver Shadow can carry 466 passengers and 302 crew members. The vessel has 10 decks and was christened by Janet Burke.

Viking Sky is on a 138-day, one-way cruise from Fort Lauderdale to London-Tilbury and will visit 63 ports. The itinerary started on 20 December 2023, and will end on 6 May 2024. Viking Neptune is a 10-deck vessel that was constructed in 2022. It can carry 928 passengers and 465 crew members. Viking Neptune is on a 138-day, one-way cruise from Fort Lauderdale to London-Tilbury. The itinerary started on 23 December 2023 and will end on 9 May 2024.

The Queen Victoria is on a 112-day round-trip Full World Voyage and will visit 30 ports. The itinerary started on 9 January 2024, and will end on 30 April 2024. The 12-deck vessel was constructed in 2007 and christened by Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. It can carry 2 489 passengers and 900 crew members. The ship has the very first true theatre at sea (with private boxes) and the largest ballroom (Queen Victoria at Sea). Cunard's first female captain, Inger Olsen, took command of the cruise ship on December 15 2010.

The Queen Mary 2 is on a 123-day round-trip Full World Voyage and will visit 33 ports. The itinerary started on 3 January 2024, and ends on 5 May 2024. Walvis Bay will be the third port on the journey, with the vessel arriving from the Canary Islands en route to Cape Town.

The Queen Mary 2 (QM2) is Cunard Line's oldest and one of the world's most famous ocean liners of all time. The 18-deck vessel was built in 2004 and christened by Queen Elizabeth II. It can carry 3271 passengers and 1253 crew members. The QM2 is a post-Panamax vessel. This means it cannot pass through the old Panama Canal locks. On transatlantic crossings, QM2 is supplied with about 65 000 fresh eggs and about 150 tons of food. Propulsion demands are, however, even more impressive, with the QM2 needing 1 850 tons of diesel oil and 1 000 tons of fuel for the gas turbines on a regular 7-day North Atlantic crossing between the USA and UK. It takes her six hours to fill her storage tanks.

Resilient Lady was constructed at a cost of 600 million euros in 2023. The ship has 17 decks and can carry 2 860 passengers and 1 160 crew members. In a strategic shift from her traditional relocation voyages, Virgin Voyages' vessel Resilient Lady embarked on a circumnavigation of the African coastline and departed from Sydney on 27 March. This newly charted route includes stops at Eden and Fremantle/Perth in Australia, Port Louis (Mauritius), Durban and Cape Town (South Africa), Walvis Bay (Namibia), Praia (Cape Verde), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canaries Spain), Casablanca (Morocco), Barcelona (Spain), Valletta (Malta), as well as Santorini and Piraeus/Athens in Greece, offering passengers an extended duration at sea to savor the maritime experience. Sir Richard Branson founded the Virgin Group, and Virgin Voyages is an adults-only cruise company (passengers' minimum age is 18) and officially started operations in April 2020.

MS Zuiderdam is currently on a 129-day round-trip Grand World Voyage and will visit 51 ports on the journey. The itinerary, which features a full Panama Canal transit and navigation on the Amazon River, started on 3 January 2024, at Fort Lauderdale, Port Everglades, Florida, and will end there on 11 May 2024. The 11-deck vessel was constructed in 2002 and can carry 2364 passengers and 817 crew members.
