Oktoberfest hits all the right notes
Saturday's Oktoberfest in Windhoek was fun for the whole family, with loads of games, different food sorts and entertainment for all ages being the order of the day, and - naturally - lots of beer for the adults.
Entertainment was provided by both local and visiting musicians, including the Schuhplattler and the Oktoberfest band from Germany, Die Kirchdorfer.
The festivities kicked off on Friday evening and concluded on a high note at the Sports Klub Windhoek on Saturday night, with thousands of revellers enjoying the entertainment despite the scorching heat.
This year, the tents again covered loads of floor space, since the Rugby World Cup final was also broadcast at the event, and as always, the traditional Festbier - which was brewed exclusively for the event - was the star of the show.
