Namibia Fight Championships returns

The Namibia Fight Championships takes place at the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre this weekend.
The Namibia Fight Championships (NFC) returns this year with the third edition of the event slated for 19 March at the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre.
The NFC event includes different combat sports such as boxing, kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu.
The president of the Namibia Martial Arts Federation, Anita De Klerk, told Erongo24/7 that there are currently about 83 challengers that will be taking part in the event, with medals to be awarded to the winners.
She explained that fighters who are interested in taking part in the event are free to do so, as the NFC is an open invitation event.
“The event is being hosted to give boxers, kickboxers and martial artists an opportunity to compete and showcase their skill. We plan to host NFC every month. Please come and support our very talented fighters.”
The event is being hosted under the auspices of the Namibia Martial Arts Academy as well as the Namibia Martial Arts Federation in conjunction with the Namibian Sport Commission, the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (Wako) and the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).
De Klerk also announced that The Desert Storm IV will be hosted from 1 to 2 July in Walvis Bay. This event caters for different Martial Arts styles with athletes from different countries participating.
