Stars’ lead even more commanding
NPL round 12
Defeats by both of its nearest rivals on Saturday enabled African Stars Football Club to enlarge its lead at the top of the Debmarine Namibia Premier League - from seven points to 10.
A first-half goal by Kaejarukapo 'Koko' Katjimune handed African Stars a 1-0 win against Civics at the SKW Stadium in Olympia. With national team defenders Charles Hambira, Edmund Kambanda and team captain Ronald Ketjijere leading the defence, Stars was able to prevent the team in purple and blue from finding an equaliser during the second half.
The result moved the log leaders up to 32 points after 12 matches.
