Warriors sail past São Tomé and Príncipe
Namibia's Brave Warriors secured a 2-0 victory against São Tomé and Príncipe in Group H of the Fifa World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday night in Morocco. Their win comes after a 1-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea last week.
Prins Tjiueza scored the opening goal with a corner kick that landed in the net in the 10th minute, and Petro Leonardo Mateus scored an own goal in the 75th minute to seal Namibia's win.
Next year, between 3 and 11 June, Namibia will face Liberia and Tunisia.
The Warriors will now turn their attention to the Africa Cup of Nations, the 34th edition of the biggest sports event on African soil, which is taking place from 13 January to 11 February 2024 in Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouake, San Pedro and Korhogo.
Namibia face Tunisia on 16 January, South Africa on 21 January and play their last group match against Mali on 24 January.
