Duchaine becomes Namibia’s first Junior Worlds qualifier

Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics’ Kayla Duchaine has made history as the country’s first junior rhythmic gymnast to qualify for the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships.
The St. Paul’s College learner earned her spot at the prestigious event after an outstanding performance at the recently concluded national trials held in Windhoek.
The third edition of the championships is scheduled to take place from 18 to 22 June in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Speaking to Sport Wrap yesterday, the Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF) rhythmic chairperson, Britt Adonis-Byl, confirmed that Duchaine will be accompanied by experienced coach Eleonora Karamfilova of Elite. Adonis-Byl will also travel as a FIG-certified judge.
