Fiadanantsoa, Fourie, Geldenhuys, Joseph and Ntweng a meager consolation in hurdle races
Athletics
Only 12 athletes from Africa will be present in all hurdles events at the Olympic Games.
Africa looks ready to continue its traditionally strong impact on the 3000-metres steeplechase at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which are being held from August 1 to 11 at the renowned Stade de France.
However, representation from Africa has decreased in other hurdles events.
In the 100 hurdles for women and the 110 hurdles for men, as well as the 400 hurdles for both genders, African participation is rather limited.
