Golf
Kyle Johnson (Walvis Bay Golf Club) was one of only two Namibian team members to make the cut after day two of the African Amateur Golf Championship at Leopard Creek Golf Club in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Johnson, the youngest and also the best performer at this event in 2024, played his first two rounds with scores of 74 and 74 (total 148) to currently be placed in joint 12th position. Likius Nande narrowly survived the cut with 79 and 80 (total 159; tied for 39th). Edwin Kutara, Walter Heibeb and Stefanus Bonifatius did not finish among the forty to continue on the last two days. South Africa’s Roelof Craig (136 shots) is the current leader. Photo R&A/Getty Images
