Meroro and Ndafoluma angered by boxing board

Two prominent boxers Vikapita Meroro and Lukas Ndafoluma have expressed dismay with the Namibian boxing control board.

The fighters claim that the board has been treating them unfairly for the past few months and they demand things to change. They claim that the board has been blocking them from fighting as it refused to sanction their foreign trips.

“I am being blocked from fighting outside Namibia without any reason and this has made things very difficult for me.

“I was on a mission to fight outside Namibia but the fight did not take place because the board did not sanction my trip and fight,” Ndafoluma said.

Ndafoluma has a boxing record 23 wins in 35 fights while he has also lost 11 times.

Vikapita Merero also shared the same sentiments with Ndafoluma claiming to have had a similar experience.

I do not know what is happening at the board but it seems that there are people out there trying to destroy my career.

“I am really not happy with how the boxing control board has been treating me.

“I always used to have fights outside Namibia but the board has made sure that I am unable to do that again,” Meroro fumed.

Meroro has a record of 30 wins in 48 bouts, while he has lost 18 fights.

Meroro began his first fighting experience with professionals. He beat Elijah Kwenaetsile with a points victory.

He encountered Ukrainian Stanislav Kashtanov for the WBC Youth World super middleweight title and lost in Kashtanov's homeland and home city Donetsk, Ukraine.

“I still hope that my suspension will be lifted and I will be able to fight again,” the boxer said.

Attempts to get contact with the boxing board proved impossible as all phones and unanswered.
