Nauhaus: Youngsters to be tested by SA U19

Cricket Namibia is looking forward to the three-match series between its young selection and the touring South African Under-19 team.Oscar Nauhaus, Cricket Namibia’s high-performance manager and the appointed coach of the local selection, said: “We know SA U19 will provide a stern test for our players, because they are coming here with their probable U19 World Cup squad (2027, co-hosted by Namibia and Zimbabwe).“This presents us with the opportunity to test not only our U19 players, but also players who have just left school. Our squad is a combination of players who are involved in our senior HP squad and junior U19 HP systems“Opportunities like this help build a link between players who have left our U19 system and have moved into our senior men’s pathway system.“The series will be challenging, but that's how we improve, it provides an opportunity for players to be exposed to the highest level of cricket and grow.
