Some members of the Namibian team have already departed for Birmingham, England, as the start of the Commonwealth Games draw closer.

Namibia will be represented by 33 athletes at the Commonwealth Games, with a group of athletes having already left the country.
The likes of boxer Jonas Junias, Tryagain Ndevelo and coach Albertus Tsamaseb, as well as the wrestling team consisting of Jason Afrikaner, Romio Goliath and coach Luis Forcellado, are some of the members who have left.
More athletes are expected to depart for the games over the coming days for the international multi-sport event scheduled for 28 July to 8 August.
Namibia will be represented in athletics, bowls, gymnastics, swimming, triathlon, para-sport, and cycling. Xavier Xapo, who is part of the cycling team, said all is set for the games and preparations have gone extremely well.
