Ongos FC has penned a deal with former Unam FC player Tauzuvirua Toromba, with the aim of bolstering their squad.

The club that finished second in the Debmarine Namibia Premiership have joined a group of teams that are already making moves in the transfer market.

The 20-year-old defender is a product of the Kasaona Academy where he played before joining Unam FC.

He is also part of the Kahiriri Consultancy which ensures that players are represented well when signing contracts.

“We have to congratulate our client for making the bold move of joining Ongos FC.

“I honestly believe that Ongos will be the right place for him to continue developing and making strides in his football career.

“We are super proud of him and hope that he will make a name for himself,” His representative Olsen Kahiriri said.

Mamie Kasaona who has seen the player grow through the Hospsol League under her academy said she was proud of the player.

“It is always good to see a few of our former academy players making this big moves.

“I think this shows that we are moving in the right direction and this serves as an encouragement in terms of our plans and were we would want to be.

“He is a good player and I believe Ongos FC has made the right choice in signing the player,” Kasaona said.

More football teams have confirmed that they are in talks with several players and will announce their signings soon.

It is also still not clear when the 2024-2025 season will commence, as the PstBet NFA Cup final is only scheduled for next weekend.

Ongos FC is the latest premiership club to announce the movement of players after title holders African Stars have already announced the signing of at least six players this week.
