Wentzel wins home title by two shots

The Walvis Bay Golf Club Open was played last week and was won by two shots by local Kevin Wentzel on 144, two shots ahead of runner-up Stefanus Bonifatius on 146. The Walvis Bay Open is an event at which players’ results count towards the Namibia Amateur Golf Union’s order of merit. The best nett prize was won by another local player, junior Emilio Maboh, on 136 while the nett runner-up was Dean Kock on 137. The best nett in the A division was won by Pieter Fox on 144, winner B division on 141 was J Katti while the C division winner was another of our club juniors, Francois le Roux on 143.
