Letter to the normalisation committee

Jesse Jackson Kauraisa
I have recently learned about the appointment of a Fifa Normalisation Committee which is set to replace the former Namibia Football Association executive and also serve in the position for almost a year in an attempt to neutralise the poison NFA structures have been fed.
The task you have is not only mammoth but it will take plenty of integrity to make sure that you are not deemed a failure after your term of office ends.
So many times we have seen the extension periods of normalisation committees in different countries because they have not completed their job in the required time.
Yes, you as a committee have the responsibility to unify and structure the NFA in a manner that could avoid another fall of our football empire.
I can warn now that things are more complicated than you may think and only honesty and integrity will win you this fight.
As things stand and appear to be, I believe the new normalisation committee will need a strong stomach to absorb all the poison the football fraternity has been drinking.
What scares me the most at this moment is that the camps and factions that existed are still celebrating victory even if the entire NFA management was send packing.
I have been hearing about how the progressive forces or at least people who claim to be stating that they have successfully removed the regime and will take control of the next elections as they did in February 2020.
The others that have been fighting the progressive forces are also having their own party claiming to be victors of this whole pandemonium.
As an outsider and observer, I remain worried that this factions and groups will continue causing mayhem to the committee’s plans to restore the dreams and hopes of many footballers.
The NC faces a task of uniting and harmonising football in a sport infested by so much division and hatred towards one another.
My greatest concern is that, as long as these groups remain lurking and trying to prove a point to each other, we can forget about ever having peaceful football structures again.
People are out here claiming self-glory and not a single person has mentioned how the structures set up in February 2020 have shattered the dreams of the players.
Football has been politicised worldwide and we can’t run from that fact, but the problem is that those that are politicising the game in this country are constantly failing and that is why I advise they must stop.
Having said all this, my advice to those that are part of the new NC is that they must learn from the mistakes of the previous NC that ignored many loopholes and allowed the association to be ran by people with a lack of proper ideology and plan as to how they would revive the game.
The NC should also not fall in the trap and befriend those that have motives of becoming the next leaders of the association.
The NC must not at any time get personal with any of this outside forces as that could signal the failure of their tenure.
I believe that it will be hard to do a complete clean-up because some of these external forces are now also employed as officials by the association and can remain also try and influence proceedings.
I humbly request that the NC please also engage stakeholders to understand the matters at hand before embarking on a plan to restore football.
There are already some in groups claiming to know you guys personally and that must not interfere in your obligations to give footballers football.
The NC also has to revisit the constitution which gives so much power to individuals which they tend to abuse.
In conclusion, I remain strongly in doubt that things in football will change until those the football fraternity make peace with each other and move on.
