On Wednesday, Old Mutual Namibia embarked on a new way to make services easily accessible to its customers by launching the Old Mutual mobile application (app) and WhatsApp funeral claims functionality.
The convenience, accessibility, and savings offered by these digital platforms are created while prioritising the safety and security of their personal and financial information.
Speaking at the launch, Old Mutual group chief executive officer Tassius Chigariro said the two Old Mutual digital channels embody their commitment to innovation, transformation, sustainability, and inclusion.
"Innovation is essential to the growth strategy of the Old Mutual Group. We understand the importance of embracing new ideas, technologies, and processes to promote growth, enhance efficiency, and meet changing customer expectations," he said.
Streamlining processes
The WhatsApp funeral claims functionality was introduced to streamline the claims process by offering customers a user-friendly and accessible way to manage their funeral claims via WhatsApp.
Old Mutual Group marketing, public affairs and sustainability executive Mignon du Preez said while the road to innovation is long and challenging, the reward is worth the journey. "These two new digital channels are powerful tools that will transform the way customers manage their finances and make funeral claims".
Customers can now submit their claims in minutes without having to call or visit Old Mutual branches. Old Mutual assures that the confidentiality and security of customer information and details of their claims are well guarded.
