The new Volkswagen Amarok editions are here
The wait is over
The all-new Amarok incorporates up to 30 driver assistance systems, 20 of which are new to the Amarok.
The wait is finally over for Volkswagen lovers as the new Amarok is finally here, making a clear statement for its drivers.
It is definitely built to be tough from the ground up, flexible in its performance, and all roads are its destination.
Chad Wright of Autohaus in Windhoek said: "There are four models on the floor: the top of the range, which is the Aventura; the off-road specialist, which is the PanAmericana; the Style which complements both; and the last one, the Life model, which has a lot of options."
Shiny and new
Designed in Australia, the updated look and feel of the Amarok sees a new front fascia boasting a horizontally opposed grille with an impressive headlamp array (with IQ.LIGHT LED headlamps in the PanAmericana and Aventura trims).
The wheel arches look broad and brutish, and, depending on the model, they house 17- to 21-inch alloy wheels.
Safety
The all-new Amarok incorporates up to 30 driver assistance systems, 20 of which are new to the Amarok. Clever technology, such as adaptive cruise control and, in certain models, rear traffic alerts and park assists, is there to assist the driver with every drive.
Comfort and space
Ten centimetres longer than its predecessor, wider, and with an expanded wheelbase, the all-new Amarok cabin offers more legroom – and extra comfort – to passengers in the second row of seats.
Technology
The Amarok includes advanced, high-tech features. Renovation is taken to the next level with a vertical touchscreen infotainment system up to 30 centimetres in size in certain models that ‘levitates’ above the central console. Link your smartphone to the premium Harman Kardon sound system that brings music to life. LED headlights are standard across the range.
The highlight of the show
"The power you need with the elegance you want," the automakers say of the Amarok Aventura. The Amarok Aventura is top of the range with its unique look and design.
It features large 21-inch alloy wheels, steps with chrome inlays, chrome exterior mirrors and door handles, and a rear bumper with chrome inlays.
Arno Reyneke, a sales representative from Autohaus Windhoek, said: "With everything included, the car costs N$ 1 105 000, which is cheaper than the previous one."
He added: "The suspension is great – it feels like you are driving a sedan. So it is amazing to drive in this car."
Front seats with a heating function, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, exterior mirrors that are electrically adjustable and foldable, and front seats with a heating function are just a few of the features of the Aventura.
Still to come
The single Volkswagen Amarok single cabs are yet to arrive, as they will be launched around May and June, so there is more to be excited for.
